The lecture series “Italy meets…”, which aims to draw Ca’ Foscari closer to other countries and different realities by promoting the internationalisation of students and of the whole Ca’ Foscari community, focuses on Mexico this time.
On Wednesday November 25th, starting at 10:15 am in the Aula Magna of Ca’ Dolfin, the relationships between the country and the rest of the world will be analysed by Marisela Morales Ibañes, Console Titular de México in Milan. This will be followed by a round table on the concept of borders as not only physical, but also cultural, symbolic, political and social spaces for the construction of the Mexican identity and in the relationships between Mexico and the two countries that are placed behind its South and North borders.
Finally, in the afternoon, a conversation with author Pino Cacucci will lead us towards the discovery of another Mexico, as represented by countless literary artifacts.
Please see the programme for further information.
The event is organised by the School of International Relations, by the Department of Linguistics and Comparative Cultural Studies and by the International Office.
